CHEMICAL FIELD ENGINEER

Summary: Please note, this is a field-based position.
Engineering Procedures
- Developing, cleaning, flushing, testing and other specialized procedures.
- Solve problems involving momentum, mass and energy transport, flow of fluids in piping, fluid mixing and fluids compressibility using the principles / technology of chemistry, physics, mathematics, engineering and related physical /natural sciences.
- Perform engineering calculations such as cleaning force ratio or compressible and non-compressible flow, fluid velocity, volume and mass flow rates, reaction force, heat and mass transfer.
- Development of non-standard service procedures.
Technical Liaison
- Discuss procedures, process and requirements with client to develop plan for cleaning.
- Make recommendations to client in terms of the process and procedures.
- Liaise between operations and clients on site.
- Report to Operations and the client on project status.
Engineering resource management
- Manage procedure execution, equipment and manpower in conjunction with the Project Manager.
- Supervise execution of procedures on site to ensure Operations meets client needs.
- Manage procedure execution, equipment and manpower in conjunction with the Project Manager.

- Review and approve procedures and procedural changes by Field Engineers.
- Verify logistics of engineering procedures.
- Review contracts and manage scope of work and PO’s during execution and, if required, create and submit change order requests.
Sales Support
- Provide assessments of requests for bids. Develop methodology and determine job equipment, materials and manpower requirements to execute the job.
- Research and coordinate equipment and materials from vendors as required.
- Liaise with Operations, Sales and Proposals in the preparation of the RFQ.
Health and Safety
- Ensure that all safety legislation is adhered to actively participate in all FourQuest Health & Safety policies and practices.
- Communicate any HSE issues or concerns to your Manager or Supervisor. Provide constructive solutions to problems.
- Ensure safety obligations with clients are carried out as per the terms of the agreements, and communicated to those involved. Other
- Work closely with the Engineering leadership in setting, executing and monitoring company’s business goals and policies.
- Ensure adherence to FourQuest’s Quality Management Systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
- University Degree in Chemical Engineering
- 3 to 5 Years Experience in Oil and Gas field service related to FourQuest Energy’s service lines.
- 3 to 5 Years Commissioning, Pre-commissioning &/or Start Up experience
Certifications
- APEGA P.Eng
- License Class 5
- PST or CSTS Petroleum Safety Training or Construction Safety Training System
- WHMIS Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
- H2S Hydrogen Sulfide Awareness
- TDG Transportation of Dangerous Goods
- First Aid Basic First Aid, Advanced First Aid is preferred
