Pre-Commissioning Northern Alberta SAGD Facility

Key Accountabilities

  • Prepare trucks, equipment, materials and supplies needed per job.
  •  Work with and coach other Technicians in the use of spotting equipment where required.
  •  Lead in performing basic operation of equipment and guiding other Technicians under Supervision. I.E. air blow spread, flushing skids, nitrogen pumper and bulker and filtration, etc…
  •  Keep detailed records of flow, temperature and pressure.
  •  Assist and guide others in controlling, monitoring and measuring equipment, instruments and computer operated systems.
  • Assist and guide others in monitoring instrumentation that provides information about product levels in tanks and the flow rates, pressures, volumes, densities and temperatures.
  •  Work with and guide others in monitoring control panels and operating equipment controls.
  • Keep records and prepare reports about service operations. I.E. vehicle logs, driver logs, hours of service logs, etc…
  • Service, maintain and troubleshoot equipment with limited supervision. Perform minor repairs as required.
  • Deliver equipment and materials to job sites.
  • Assist and guide others in equipment set up.
  • Load, assemble, disassemble and maintain equipment under limited supervision.
  • Continue to learn and assist other to read and follow the drawings of system piping (P&ID’s).
  • General understanding of work scope, processes and procedures, and the ability to communicate and teach others.
  • Work with immediate supervisor to complete post job performance reviews.
  • Work with other employees, Supervisors, Engineers and Project Managers regarding engineering, chemical and legal issues surrounding provided services.
  • Complete all required administrative tasks such as timesheets, certifications and ensure that all training documentation is up to date.
  • Work closely with the company’s management staff in setting, executing and monitoring company’s business goals and policies.
  • Ensure adherence to FourQuest’s HSE and Quality Management Systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your Immediate Supervisor, Coordinator or Manager.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • Completion of a 2 year technical or community college diploma in Chemical Engineering Technology, Petroleum Engineering Technology or Heavy Duty Mechanic

Certifications

  • License Class 5
  • License Class 1 &/or 3 driver license with off road experience and mechanical aptitude
  • PST or CSTS Petroleum Safety Training or Construction Safety Training System
  • WHMIS Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
  • H2S Hydrogen Sulfide Awareness
  • TDG Transportation of Dangerous Goods
  • First Aid, Basic First Aid, Advanced First Aid is an asset
  • Cryogenic Safety Where required

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide quality service to client with the ability to build on the established relationships.
  • Operate and maintain vacuum trucks, water trucks, high pressure water equipment, chemical cleaning units and various speciality tools.
  • Assist in preparing trucks, equipment, materials and supplies needed per job.
  • Complete pre and post trip inspections on vehicles.
  • Transport chemicals in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Load and unload chemicals or chemical applications / cleanings (caustics, acid, flammable).
  • Control and monitor equipment, instruments and computer operated systems.
  • Keep records and prepare reports about service operations. I.E. vehicle logs, driver logs, hours of service logs, etc…
  • Service, maintain and troubleshoot equipment to FourQuest Standards, and perform minor repairs as required.
  • Provide guidance to swampers and labourers as required.
  • Deliver equipment and materials to job sites.
  • Assist in equipment set up.
  • Under supervision, load, assemble, disassemble and maintain equipment

Education & Experience

  • High School or Equivalent
  • 1 Year Operating a Vacuum or high pressure unit
  • Other service rig, drilling or oil and gas experience will be considered.

Certifications

  • License Class 5
  • License Class 1 &/or 3 driver license

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for leadership on larger work &/or multiple work scopes.
  • Assist in the development of field procedures with Field and Project Engineers.
  • Mentor Field Technicians and Supervisors to instruct them in the company’s services, values and goals.
  • Provide hands on technical training as it relates to the company’s services.
  • Be aware of non-standard job procedures and the process for development and execution.
  • Ensure all direct reports know what is expected of them, and work with each one to ensure expectations are met. Spend at least 50% of your day actively coaching one on one to assist in their professional and personal growth to maximize their opportunities for advancement.
  • Responsible for the safety of the crews and equipment.
  • Responsible to review, discuss changes or modifications with Engineers and follow and sign off job procedures, daily field tickets / estimates, client relations and completed daily paperwork.
  • Prepare daily operations reports, daily FLRA’s, daily safety tool box talks, daily reports for equipment, employees and contractors as well as any client required paperwork.
  • Supervise all aspects and train other in mobilization and demobilization with required documentation.
  • Supervise, document and train others on all load outs in collaboration with on call Coordinator. Be aware of job specific needs.
  • Supervise all rig in and rig outs.
  • Instruct others on how to read and understand both P&ID’s and Isometrics.
  • Understand and instruct others on the process and procedures of the job scope that is required on the assigned job as well as ensure the needed equipment is mobilized for the operation, and the crew is aware of the timing and journey management.
  • Ensure the proper and required trucks, equipment, materials and supplies needed per job.
  • Direct and assist Technicians in the spotting of equipment where required.
  • Meet with customer to discuss and plan operations and site visits as required.
  • Perform and supervise the operation of equipment – i.e. air blow spread, flushing skids, filtration, nitrogen pumper / bulker.
  • Record and review information about equipment operation in the Daily Operations Report to take readings and make necessary adjustments.
  • Keep detailed records of flow, temperature and pressure.
  • Monitor control panels and operate equipment controls.
  • Keep records and prepare reports about service and maintenance.
  • Service, maintain and troubleshoot equipment. Perform repairs as required.
  • Instruct others in reading and understanding job procedures.
  • Supervise any aspect of a shift or job as required.
  • Work with Operations and Project staff for the labour, equipment and materials needed for the work scope.
  • Monitor and confirm delivery of equipment and materials to job sites.
  • Inspect equipment, materials and maintenance logs once set up to ensure meets FourQuest and Client Standards.
  • Load, assemble, disassemble and maintain equipment.
  • Identify areas and instruct others where work needs to be completed i.e. spools to be removed, tie in points for the equipment.
  • Understanding of work scopes, processes and procedures and communicate and teach others.
  • Ensure post job performance reviews are completed and discussed.
  • Work with other co-workers to train and supervise technicians and other Supervisors.
  • Work with other employees, Supervisors, Engineers and Project Managers regarding engineering, chemical and legal issues surrounding provided services.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • College Completion of a 2 year technical or community college diploma in Chemical Engineering Technology, Petroleum Engineering Technology or Heavy Duty Mechanic
  • College Completion of a Certificate or Diploma in Management / Leadership
  • 5+ – Solid understanding of Chemical Cleaning and related service lines (fluid handling, filtration, lube oil flushing, chemical cleaning and degassing, hydro testing, steam blowing, air blowing)
