The Sr. Accountant – Financial Reporting plays a key role in supporting the Group Controller with financial analysis and corporate accounting across a global group of 20 entities. This position requires 2-5 years of accounting and financial reporting experience along with a comprehensive understanding of consolidations. The individual will be involved audit and tax compliance, treasury and cash management, insurance & risk, forecasting, M&A and financial reporting. This role is based in the FourQuest Corporate Office located in Edmonton, AB with the flexibility of a hybrid work model as required.
Salary: $75,000 – 85,000 CAD with health benefits and RPP and bonus plan
Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and consolidate financial statements in compliance with ASPE or IFRS standards as applicable. Prepare margin reporting and other bank reporting as applicable.
Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis and reports as required.
Audit Support: Support in the preparation and management of both internal and external audits in Canada and internationally.
Tax Management: Record tax entries and supervise tax compliance including audits, review of tax returns, filings.
Treasury Functions: Assist in cash flow management across international operations.
Insurance & Risk Management: Assist in the administration of the company’s global insurance programs.
Forecasting: Participate in the development of financial forecasts, financial planning and ad-hoc financial models as required.
Education and Experience
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and standards.
Experience with consolidations and foreign exchange is an asset.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
CPA designation (or actively pursuing).
