Project Engineer (CAD)
Position Summary
A technical specialist role acting as the liaison between Operations and the client. Scope includes engineering and developing procedures based on client requests, supporting job completion, building plans, and recommending procedural changes to clients and project managers.
Principais responsabilidades
Engineering Procedures (45%)
- Develop cleaning, flushing, testing, and other specialized procedures.
- Solve problems involving momentum, mass and energy transport, fluid flow in piping, fluid mixing, and compressibility using chemistry, physics, mathematics, and engineering principles.
- Perform engineering calculations: cleaning force ratio, compressible and non-compressible flow, fluid velocity, volume and mass flow rates, reaction force, heat and mass transfer.
- Develop non-standard service procedures.
Technical Liaison (15%)
- Discuss procedures, processes, and requirements with clients to develop cleaning plans.
- Make process and procedural recommendations to clients.

Management of Engineering Resources (15%)
- Manage procedure execution, equipment, and manpower alongside the Project Manager.
- Supervise on-site execution of procedures to ensure Operations meets client needs.
- Revisar e aprovar procedimentos e alterações procedimentais por parte dos engenheiros de campo.
- Verifique a logística dos procedimentos de engenharia.
Sales Support (10%)
- Assess requests for bids; develop methodology and determine equipment, materials, and manpower needs.
- Research and coordinate equipment and materials from vendors.
- Liaise with Operations, Sales, and Proposals on RFQ preparation.
- Attend sales meetings and present to clients.
Health & Safety (5%)
- Adhere to all safety legislation and FourQuest HSE policies.
- Communicate HSE issues or concerns to management with constructive solutions.
- Ensure client safety obligations are met per agreement terms.
Other (10%)
- Work with Engineering leadership on setting, executing, and monitoring business goals and policies.
- Adhere to FourQuest’s Quality Management Systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requisitos
Educação
- Required: University degree in Engineering Sciences (Chemical or Mechanical).
Certifications
- Required: EIT designation (P.E. is an asset).
- Required: Class 5 driver’s license.
Experiência
- 3–5 years in Oil & Gas field service related to FourQuest’s service lines.
- 3–5 years in Commissioning, Pre-commissioning, and/or Start-Up.
- Eligible for P.E. or EIT status.
Outros requisitos
- Legally able to work in Canada.
- Able to travel and work internationally.
- Valid passport (or able to obtain one).
- Able to pass regular drug and alcohol testing.
- Able to pass a background security check.

Condições de Trabalho
Schedule
- Field: ~50% of time on job site, up to 12-hour days.
- Office: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
- Weekends as required.
- Flexible schedule with last-minute travel depending on client demand.
Travel
- On client sites 50–75% of the time (up to 40 weeks per year).
Supervision
- Monitors the work of others as assigned; may perform similar duties.
- Plans project work.
- Acts as a lead without full supervisory authority.
